Hello,
My toro zero turn is only two years old and it started just fine last week. Today, when I turn the key, I hear a nice "thunk" near the starter(can't pinpoint its exact location) but the engine doesn't turn a bit. No clicking like a low battery and jumping it changed nothing.
Anyone think it's possible that the starter teeth are not lining up with the flywheel teeth? Still, I can't hear the starter motor turning, so this would only make sense if the bendix drive needs to be extended before the starter turns. If the teeth are misaligned, how can I manually turn the engine slightly since there is no pull cord option that I'm aware of?
I'm going to remove the plugs and hit the starter but I think that's a long shot. Any ideas?
Thanks,
John
