I am about to purchase a Kubota B2601 and would like Top and Tilt with a Hydraulic Box Blade. My dealer thinks the B2601 is too small for all of this without removing a fender. Is he right? I have seen this setup on a BX in photographs. If this can be done, what would I need to get besides two rear remotes and a TNT package?

You'll need hoses and fittings, quick couplers. All easy to get on line.

If you get a box blade with hydraulic rippers you'll need three remotes or two and a diverter.

The heavier tractor will do better at moving dirt with the box blade. A box blade full of dirt can stop my Branson 3725.

Top and tilt requires 2 remotes (sets)...if any attachment has a cylinder etc (angle, scarifiers etc., etc...) at least 3 sets or more of remotes are required...

Not sure what you mean by "hydraulic box blade"...??

If weight is your only concern, there is less than 200lb difference. I seriously doubt that it will make a seeable difference on the lawn. Sounds like you will need 3 rear remotes with a hydraulic actuated rippers on the box blade & T&T. The 2601 only has 2 rear remotes available. You will need to step up to the 2650 to get 3 factory rear remotes. ;)

Be sure to get 2 of the rear remotes with the float feature to be used with the top & tilt set. Also realize that the valves and couplers are going to be mounted on the ROPS, or that has been the case recently.

I've had a B2601 for two seasons now as my 'little tractor.' I got it with the two remotes and have added a hydraulic top link and have the parts to build a hydraulic side link. Its setup with a quick hitch and works great. I don't see how the fenders would get anywhere near a rear implement or the Top/Tilt setup. I did have to remove the cross bar with the little plastic box and the slow moving vehicle triangle.

I was using my box blade, an EA 78" model that weighs 700 lbs, as ballast, I didn't think the B2601 would be able to do any work with it but I thought I'd give it a try and it really pulls it very well. I was really surprised and I've gotten some good work done with this setup. The blade was purchased for a 50hp 6000lb Case IH. This is with turfs on the Kubota. This isn't the blade I'd buy for this tractor, its a little on the wide side and I doubt it could pull it with the scarifiers down. Still, pretty impressed with the tractor, hydraulics, and blade.

Go for it, you'll love it.

This is how I did my remotes and TNT on my B2620(basically the same tractortractor), I'm still trying to get around to adding other 2 remotes on the left side of the rops. The top link is from surplus center and I made the side link from a generic cylinder from surplus center.

I added a backhoe so I had top leave the center section open on mine, if not you would have a few more options for the coupler location.

I'm looking to add a TNT and a couple of rear remotes on my BX25D. I will use it for my box blade and maybe my back blade and landscape rake. Is there any reason to go with a 3rd rear remote? I don't want to regret it later but I don't want spend for the extra capability if I will never use it. Also I would like to keep the clutter to a minimum. Opinions please!

Just so you know, that 3rd valve adds under 1 1/4" to the overall width of the valve bank and about 2" to the quick coupler mount. ;)

Is there any reason this set up will not work on my BX25D (Back Hoe)? I talked with Kubota dealer and he told me that there is no Top and Tilt for BX only for L series and bigger. Also he said the Kubota Rear Remotes will not work with the L series.

Does Fit Rite Kit work with the rear hydraulics or do I have to route from the FEL?

I'm not sure what your dealer is talking about :confused3:eek:ther than Kubota has no top & tilt sets for the BX & B series tractors, I sure do. As far as him saying that there are only top & tilt sets for the L series and bigger, there are only Kubota top & tilt sets for the some of the L series, all of the Grand Ls and for the MX series tractors. They have nothing for any of the M series machines.

As far as the control valves not working, again not sure what he means. There are factory rear remote valve kits for all the B series tractors that I know of and for some of the BX series. Some of the Kubota rear remote valves on most of the different series tractors seem to have internal leakage problems. This is a hit and miss situation. The majority of people do not have the internal leakage problems that are commonly talked about.

Any 3rd party open center valves can be used, you just have to build mounts for the valves and couplers and get hoses made to plumb the valves into the tractor's hydraulic system. ;)
