Toothbar, rear remotes, grill guard

( The only thing I was wondering on the toothbar was how long the teeth are? Would a little longer lend itself to easier brush raking?)

I think the Markham toothbar is about 4" or 4-1/2" tooth length or so...not exactly sure but it's posted on their website. Longer teeth would help for brush but again, more strain on the bucket if you're going to dig with it because the leverage thing. There is another thread that posted other than Markham toothbars that had longer teeth. Type "toothbars" in search to find it.

( As for the top and tilt? can somone clarify this further for me? or have a picture or a link to what it looks like, I am buying a new 3830 and am trying to decide if I need remotes and how many? I am assuming that one remote will only run one cylinder? So do you need more than one? If 2 would they both be on the back?)

Go to the Top & Tilt website and they have some details about the entire system. It comes with the toplink and side link cylinders and a joystick set-up to run the system. The joystick hydraulics would plumb into your power beyond system (I believe) but they will have to advise you on how to install it. I was going to purchase the whole system but they told me they were 3 months on back order for the side link cylinders, so I only got the toplink for the time being. I will end up with the entire system when they get it in stock, though.
Attachment is a picture of mine running off the rear hydraulic ports. The level gage is home made and I still have to adjust the degree chart to match the boxblade tilt angle.
Hope that helps.

Jim- about the expanding metal stuff....
I believe any local hardware store like True Value or such carries it. It comes in different gauge thickness too. I'm not sure about larger chains like Home Depot, but I imagine they would too? I just got some finer mesh stuff to crimp around my exhaust pipe with a hose clamp to act as a spark arrester.

Jim, anyplace that sells steel will have it, there are different sizes and weights to consider too.
