I have noticed a lot of people with FEL have a toothbar. Where can I buy some for my Kioto DK40se FEL (KL401)? How well does it dig in virgin ground - both in clay or hard soil?
Here's a few places to take a look. I don't know price unless the site lists. These are in no particular order. I don't have one but the members that do advise that they work very well compared to the buckets cutting edge. The last one is slightly different than the standard toothbar but a member recently purchased and advised it also works well.

I have done a LOT of digging with my FEL. (before I got the backhoe).
It just depends on what you want to do. I dug my goldfish pond with the FEL. It is ~ 12' x 20' x 4' deep.
I have also dug a new ditch with it to dry up the from of my property. It actually works suprisingly well for ditching.
Dug up several stumps as well. Sure, it takes longer than a backhoe, but when a FEL is all you got.....A boxblade isnt going to be much help with that.
And also dug a 5' x 5' x2' deep hole in VERY hard packed dry ground for a neighbor to transplant a tree. Tree wasnt very big, but the dirt was poor. So he wanted it big enough to get a P/U load of good topsoil to give the tree a good bed.
These are just some of the things you can dig with a FEL. Sure, a backhoe would be better for most of them. But...these are just ocassional things that most cannot justify renting or buying a BH for, and the teeth make a world of difference:thumbsup:
