hey yall was looking at getting a 3/4 socket set for my 4140 but wanted to make sure im going
in the rite direction are all fasteners metric? would think so but double checking first as 3/4
in not the cheapest set to get. thanks all

Yes metric. Why do you did 3/4 drive set? Harbor Freight has a jumbo set 59.99 for a 20 piece set. I have been able to do everything 9n mine with a 1/2 set. I do need to get a torque multiplier. If you need something in a size that you can not get 1/2 " just get that socket and an adapter

I have an R3039H and I only use my metric wrenches etc on it.

Are you talking a 3/4" drive socket set?

I've got a set of 1/2" drive sockets up to 36mm and have not needed anything bigger.

I do have a 3/4" drive SAE socket set up to 2" but seldom have a need to use them.

I have not seen anything bigger than a 24 or 27. I would not think a tractor one step up would need anything bigger

thanks for the info. was just thinking 3/4 drive would be the way to go. I was thinking torque on a half inch bolt is north of 100 foot pounds
and a 3/4 drive would be better suited for that kind of pressure.

The lugs nuts are above that just get a torque multiplier or old school big cheater pipe and tighten till you can't move it

3/4 set will be to bulky to do anything but the wheels. get a 3/8 and 1/2 inch set and maybe impact set for the wheels. after you have used them some I bet you will pick 3/8 set first

I'd go 1/2 drive. I only use a 3/4 drive set when I need a bigger socket than I have in 1/2 which is a 1-1/6 and a 21 mm. Also I don't own a 3/4 impact gun and it would be much more expensive than a 1/2 drive.

im used to using a 3/8 ratchet n 1/2 impac every day at work, but now a 7/8 bolt gets torque at 141 foot pounds
what size are the loader bolts? from my exp when im reefing that hard I would rather have the
length and added ridgedity of a 3/4 breaker bar in my hands, beleave me ive broken the head on a 1/2
Armstrong breaker bar, from now on when I have something bigger I want the 3/4, that's at work and do not
have a 3/4 drive at home.
