When Im looking at them, my eyes go straight to the lower doors, rockers and floor pan top/bottom, and the bed bed tailgate.
You can immediately detect when it was a salt spreading machine.

What suddenly changed my search is the traction control feature. I would have had one by now, but I hear traction control is a game changer. It also increases the price, because it’s a newer accessory. Add that to high flow and reasonable hours and hopefully a 7’ brush cat mower and it’s as if theres only 3-5 clean used tool cats in the USA at any one time.

hay dude, like you I looked at many used ones, 4 years ago picked up a 2005 model, it did spread salt in its life but the owner did the work replacing the floor, sill and work on the doors, the box was repaired with new decals, after 4 years things were deteriorating, box sides flaking, floor was rusting where its original and basically needed more work than I wanted to do.

ended up a few months ago buying new, miss the lower door windows but not sure why, traction control is a plus feature as is the suspension, only complaint it will not reach full speed but I have a machine that will not rust away on me

Utility company stole (ie condemned) 2acres of my property but I had them leave the stack of 40+ large hardwoods. Sold the highest dollar one today (24inx16ft black walnut). Timmy "The Toolcat" Horton was maxed out. Hydraulics just lifted it and I was more or less balancing on the front tires. Could have used some counter weight but got it lifted and on the trailer. :cool2:

Yep maxed out, I measured our 5610 max lift at just over 3,000 pounds.

So I also got a bunch of free "shredded wood" like a rough mulch from the utility company clearing 2 acres of my land. I asked them to leave one of the huge piles of mulch for me, I've been working on a nature trail for the family to walk around the pond and I was trying to figure out what to put down. It gets very sticky/soft in the spring/fall due to the clay soil but buying mulch or rocks would have been $$$ for 1000ft x 6ft trail. I made a video of the making the trail and spreading the mulch. The toolcat was great for not tearing up the ground yet maneuvering around the tight confines with the 4WS.

I go out every once in a while where the utility company is running a new pipeline (easement on my property). Find new boulders to bring back and use for landscaping or lining the above mentioned nature trail.
Toolcat has been doing great! Also lifted many heavy tree logs onto dump trailers from the clear cutting. Been impressing my neighbors with compact tractors.
