Yes, about 12 80lb bags. I mounted a drawbar and 3ph stabilizers from TSC in holes I drilled through the barrel.
I would do it different though buy a complete 3pthitch adapter from northern tool and use some rebar to keep it positioned in the barrel where you want it; add a chainsaw plastic scabbard; add another 3" tube for long handle tools/chains.

If you haven't added ballast to your tractor you are missing on of the best safety items that just so happens to make it so much more capable and stable.

I will have to look into northern tools, wonder if the ship to Ontario. My tires are loaded but thinking a little more would be good. Thanks.

FYI TSE and Princess Auto have much of what harbor freight has. Might be worth a look as heavy metal parts are often expensive to ship.

I made a simple chain holder of 4" PVC pipe with a cap on the bottom and a cleanout on top. Mounted it to FEL. It also makes a handy handle when climbing up.

RSKY

Thanks. I've been trying that but unsure on where to mount it on the FEL with drilling holes. Do you have any pictures I could see?

I converted a 24" backhoe bucket into a ballast box which carries my chains and other random arn. The curved bottom helps prevent hang ups on irregular terrain and it is literally indestructible.
Also strapped a golf bag [old idea] to the rops frame to carry long handled tools/shears/etc, and made up a wooden chainsaw carrier which is mounted on bolts thru the two existing holes located in the rops pivot elbow. Works for me.

I leave my box blade on most of the time. I am thinking I could frame a wooden box as wide as the box (maybe 8" high and a foot deep) and easily mount it on top. I would have to partition the box (sort of like two boxes side by side) to allow for the middle brace, but otherwise I think something could be made that would not be too heavy or too large (just enough to carry a chain saw and a few things I might need), and could be made to fasten easily so I could take in on and off quickly. I prefer to mount it on my box blade as when I go back in the woods (where I need chain saw etc.) I always give the old "paths" through the woods a quick grading on the way in and on the way out.

As soon as I finish my other projects I may tackle that. . . .but that could be a while given my list.

I don't have a box blade although I have thought about buying one
