No, too little. A surplus case for something long mounted across the back (like a lightset or anti-tank weapon) would allow storage of long tools.

Yes. I like how using two gives the top link room to come up. I was looking at using one tool box but the top link would hit unless I had it way high and then it blocked my view.

I like it, I just make do with the original small box for pins, and clips, shear bolts, and a knife for opening bales, and just throw other stuff behind the seat.

Depends on what all you want to carry. Hard to find a spot for the chainsaw on my L2501 so I put a scabbard on the box blade.

I recently put a Heavy Duty Tractor Tool Box Universal-Fitting Tractor Tool Tray Accessories with 24x10x10in Tractor Basket Attachment - Fit for John Deere/Kubota Tractors on my cx2510 and have been happy with it. It's not huge but helps carry things larger than what would fit in the tool box and flips up so I can still fill the tractor with gas. It will block some of your rear view as well.
