Hi, I'm giving my old Ford 5000 a little attention today. I took the front end loader (FEL) off because I want to remount it with the rear axle mounts 6" higher. That will make the top of the rear arms level with the ground, and the vertical posts straight up. This will also give me a chance to clean it up a bit and straighten a few things out. I'd also like to replumb the hydraulic lines with stainless steel tubing. That last bit will require me to learn how to plumb with stainless tubing...

Here is a video of me removing the loader.

Are you going to be able to just flip the rear brackets over or are looking at some shop time fabricating new ones? Nice video btw.

My Grandfather had and '80s Deutz 6260 with a factory 455 (?) loader and it never went on that easy. I've never took mine off. Guess I'm too chicken!

Thanks for the great video. I would like to have a video like that for my JD 790 FEL removal. That was really interesting.
