Other than a few hours of grass cutting the tractor will remain unused this fall. I have several projects in mind for next year on the farm and may actually do a little contract work next year as well. I ran the tractor for about an hour yesterday mowing some of the yard at the farm and it sure was nice mowing in 85 degree heat in the cab... :) .....I may be spoiled now.

With a cab there's no excuse for not using it ALL year or hasn't the CFO told you that yet :)

Somehow grapples make those gentle giants look like monsters. Have fun with yours..

Nice Tractor:)

it is a tuffline box blade. I have a united bb that I've had probably 10-12 years that is what I would consider a light duty/light weight unit. I've been looking at heavier ones for a while now and when I was looking at the 7040 I saw this boxblade. I definitely think it'll see some use next year. The jury is still out on the finish mower though. I'm not sure I made the right decision on it.

Now all you need to do is slap some University of Tennessee decals on that bad boy. . . .

Looks great. Have had my 7040 for just about a year now...never looked back. Is it hydraulic shuttle? What did the 7' mower go for? Weight? My Bush hog 6' mower weighs around 1200....does a great job. Naturally, wish I had gotten the 8540 but this one will do about anything enjoy bb

BB...yes it is a hydraulic shuttle. I had an m95 when we had a different piece of property but it was just too large to use where I needed it so I traded it in on the 5040. If I had bought a 5040 cab then I really didn't have any need to trade up to the 7040. Hp wise I was fine but I am getting to the point where a cab was becoming necessary for me(long story). The mower was $1800 I believe and I don't know what it weighs. I'm going to adjust the cutting height on it some more and see if I can get it somewhere close to what I want. I have it set fairly low and am having trouble with the blades making contact with the ground. My place may just be a little too rough for a finish mower. I am hoping that I can use it though because I prefer the finish look compared to the bush hog.
