I haven't seen this technique locally as most I see is small acreage logging using skidders. Probably used farther back in the hills.

I guess I learned something today. I thought tong tossing was when a blacksmith lets the reigns on his tongs get to hot and he tries to pick them up and decides to put them down quickly. Thanks for the video. Ed

Interesting, it's like fishing for logs. One of the other videos that youtube showed has a comment that the practice was banned in BC 30 years ago
