I just purchased a TC650 backhoe and have a few questions. The hoe is one year old and probably 20 hours on it. First off the pump is pretty loud, almost like its not getting fliud. This is the second pump on this hoe. Both were loud like this from day one. This pump is a prince. The guy has hydrolic fluid in it and the book calls for 10w30 oil. Could this be some of the noise? Also he said the hoe was leaking down, so he put all 5 new cylinders on it, but still leaks down. Something seems off here. Also the rops levers work backwards, so it seems like maybe the lines are backwards or something. I am going to change the fluid and filter and check all the lines before I try it out. The hoe itself looks new and well built. Small hoe, but got it pretty cheap and with the 5 old cylinders which look new and two buckets.

Any thoughts?

Just talked to Jerry at Affordable and he was very helpful! Took the time to talk me thru some things. Pretty nice considering I have never purchused anything from them.

I found some loose fittnings sucking air and a dirty filter. Drained the fluid, but have to wait to pick up a new filter and see where I'm at. Oh found teflon tape on several fittings. Maybe in the system???

Ok, I got the new fluid and filter and no leaks. The pump is still making noise and the dipper stick doesn't have much power. The bucket cylinder is still leaking off also. Any tips?

I wouldn't think its the cylinders as they were just replaced also, but its a place to start.
