Today\'s steal 8\" Jointer

I picked up an oldie today for my farm project. A local guy in Warren, Ma. had this old J.C. Wallace 8" jointer for sale on a home made rolling table for $50.00. It now sits in my barn safe and sound. It has a direct drive motor. The tables both work. The fence works and the bearings are all tight. It does need the tabl guard welded and the blades sharpened or replaced. I figured for $50.00 I couldn't go wrong. I have a small 4" and have been wanting a much larger machine.

Sweet, looks like it's time to make up some cutting boards, and panel doors. Nice heavy unit, Gary

Thanks Gary, No time right now for making doors and such. I needed this for straighteneing out some boards for the farm project. I was able to buy new blades for it today. It is a very heavy duty piece of equipment. I can't wait to use it. Blades are on the way.
