That does look good! How much brush was mixed in with the grass? I hate seeing a field going unmaintained.

All the brush in the above field was around the edges, as I keep cleaning out further back to the tree line. BUT, I did take out some white pine tree's that were about 2 to 3" too...

BTW, the shorter tree's in the above pict., is a walnut grove...

I spent 6 hours removing cactus and the dust was flying
but not on me! Tractor almost looks like a pile of dirt it
hasn't rained lately so will have to give it a bath!
If anyone would like some pear cactus its free just
come and get it!

Well, it was Friday the 13th, so you know "something" was going to happen! lol

I drove the 50 miles to the tractor job, where I left my tractor and rotary cutter and of course, It was setting there with a flat tire. lol At least I had the "built in" hydraulic jack to lift the front to get the tire off!

Once I got it off, I went looking for a place to fix it, and the first one said he couldn't even get to it for a couple hours! So I moved on to the second place that fixed it within an hour, so all was better!

With that done, I got back to rotary cutting, and here is one field that I cut,

I logged all the trees, most were 100 yr. old or older, cut out and skidded out the logs, and milled them into the lumber with my BSM, to build that porch.

The post and headers are 6x10"s with the headers 20' long. The rafters are 3x8-16's, and it's all covered with 5/4x4 or 6", 16 foot T&G boards...

It's actually over 150' long and it looks GREAT...

We switched around running gear on 3 wagons, put a heavy duty set under the bigger Dion forage box, a good set of tandem axles under the kicker rack, then a worn set of tandems with light duty tires under the old Papec small forage box.
Between adjusting the reaches and bolsters and hold downs we started at 11 AM and started putting the wagons away at 5:30 PM.
This old man was whopped and sweat soaked before we were half done damned 88F and 80% humidity, sure was glad to climb back in the cab for the last time and start for home,
we had the farms forks on one side and my forks on the other side to pick the racks up and hold them while we worked on the various running gear.
We left the Papec up on four bales of hay and some planks while we switched everything around it was the first lifted and the last finished.

Didn't get many pictures to busy working most of the time.

Was able to change the oil, check the air
filters & screens, belts. Greased the back
hoe and bucket grease fittings felt like a grease
monkey with all the places to grease! Next is
change the tranny fluid and front axel fluid. Temp
was 98 or 99 not too bad to work outside!
