NO, I meant what I said, 1", NO, absolutely NO, no, maybe ? I never owned a Fransgard winch, nope, nope, maybe as they are predicting 1 to 3" of snow to fall in the next two days... lol

As for the box, it's a drum sander. I have a Woodmaster planer/drum sander/moulder, but I wanted a stand alone drum sander, now I have it.

Among other things, I've been making quite a few meat cutting boards, like these,

the new sander will speed that process up, like on these two that are ready to go through it,

I thought about sending you one, I really did... BUT, you say you never got the last thing I sent to you, so I'm scared to try that again!

Three tree strikes on our house in the last crazy storm, with trees down everywhere and some houses cut in half.

The pros wanted $9K for tree removal and to use a crane, which is what the insurance estimate came out to as well. In practice, one nerd with a chainsaw and TLB was sufficient.

So nice to have a tractor handy, $9K going toward my own labor and equipment instead. Sad to lose the Ponderosa pines. I'll count the rings, but I suspect the larger ones are decently old.. 19th century would be my guess. DBH in the 2-3 foot range. We had a very nice Japanese maple that was crushed, a blue spruce that was completely destroyed, and a bunch of smaller trees that gave good shade and privacy and now are all gone. Sux.

On the plus side, even though some stuff fell off the bathroom shelves and the beds slid along the floor from the impacts, no one was hurt and remarkably no windows were broken. 6:30am, roughly.

Quite a mess crif. Sounds like you got off lucky. A good job for your TLB. What are you going to do with all the slash and debris ?

Anyway, I used my tractor to unload this pallet this morning, off the delivery semi, more tools for the woodshop!

Mr. Sawyer Rob, what is the black boom that appears behind the boxes in your pic?

Is it part of your fork lift on the tractor?

I bought a stroke sander off market place for $200. I have a General 24” drum sander but I prefer the stroke sander for cutting boards.

X2 - I see lots of pipe and valves in a sandy trench snaking thru the palms but don't have a clue. Looks like plenty of work though.

Iy was time to redo the watering system for the date palm trees. Now with the redo I'm getting better pressure per each run of trees. Prior it was too many bubbles and not enough pressure, I broke it up to smaller runs. Yes it was a whole heck of a lot of work. that was 350 feet on the run

That's a serious grapple arm...and impressive lift capability based on the size of that plow manure.
