TODAYS SEAT TIME

I mowed today. Some of you are probably fighting snow by now, but the grass is still green here. This picture was taken today and it was cut 15 days ago. IMG_0268.JPG

nice job houser, looks like great firewood.
I would have to cut that up in ten foot lengths to get my Kubota to pick it up.
Same gum and oak trees here, and they both fall down...my firewood pile is all red oak from one tree.

Today was cold, breezy, and cloudy and I wanted something to do but not work with a shovel. I hauled topsoil today from a pile in the front of the yard to a stockpile at the rear of the land. Four hours total. I used a few truckloads earlier in the year but moved about 25 yards today. Very nice day to be out in the fresh air.

Those sheds look look like they provide good cover. How do they hold up to snow ?? Riding around up here I see some collapsed ones every winter but I can't tell if it is a quality issue, lack of maintenance, or if they just aren't made for snow and need additional shoring up. I am looking for something easy to keep my tractor under instead of a tarp.

I have been cleaning it off after each snow storm. Last year I added 2 ft wide plywood on the rafters to support the cover. Just changed that 4 ft wide. Hopefully with that support and new tarp won't need to clean off the snow this winter.

The original cover lasted about 2 years before getting brittle and starting to tear where stretched over the pipes. Instead of buying a new cover from ShelterLogic I put a heavier 18'x24' tarp over the of the failing cover.

I spent about half of the afternoon digging up the last 200 feet of my waterline so that I can replace it. I spent the morning, plus about 20 hours on previous days trying to get my water running without taking the time to dig the entire line up.
