Continuing to work on smoothing out the yard.
And pulling out buried treasures to drag over to my rock pile.
That one only stuck a few inches above final grade.

I envy your ambition. I have a bunch of rocks like that and just mow around them or raise the blade. Good work with that BX !!

Used the landscape rake to do a little maintenance on my shooting range. It was so nice and cool today I had to check the zero on my AR after I finished.
I saw coyotes 2 different mornings last week while watering the cows and only had a little 32 Keltec. Time to carry something with a little more range.

Lol, yes. Not exactly how I intended to spend the day. However I'm glad I had the tractor as it saved a bunch of time digging. Easier to grow a small section of grass back than dig that much.

Finished cutting the back yard.


Broke out the chainsaw to cut some wood.


Until this happened. Not good.


So I went ahead and messed with the box scraper and drive for awhile. Sorry no pics. Overall it was a good day. Any day outdoors is a good day.

He just seemed so surprised that someone would stop working (playing on the tractor...lol) and give someone a hand. I'm not bragging or anything like that. I just told him that people have helped me when I was desperate so I like to help others in need, if I can.

Thank you gwstang. Have you considered running for President this year? You'll have my vote as the pickings are a little bit slim it seems.


A couple days ago we finally got around to helping a neighbor get a tree out of the yard after the recent storms. Rain started again today, so there may be more to come.

About four or five trees came down in the neighborhood. This one was in our common area clear of homes. I saw at least one crew repairing a small hole in a roof...

Neighbor had already cut up small stuff for his firepit, and I hauled off the bigger sections to split later for our summer camp fires.

I wish the tractor and grapple would stack the wood for me too... Will need to work on that.

So is just a new bar in order or is there damage to the power head as well?

I'll start with a new bar. Then go from there. Funny thing is? The bar is still stuck. Can't get it out. Tree too heavy and almost got the tractor stuck trying to move the tree. Deep in the woods and on a slight hillside. Bad combo.

With all the rocks and washout ditches from previous owner's work the yard was not mowable.

Had move RR tie to move trailer to move dirt pile.

Anyone done jousting with tractors?
