it's funny how everyone gripes and groans about the snow,
but in truth, for our somewhat niched group of tractor nuts,
it's an opportunity to go have some fun. To forget about work, forget about
other pressures and just go try to get that snow just right.
As long as we don't get too cold or too wet, it's usually fun.
Until the hydraulic line breaks or you get er stuck.
It's all a memory to me now having moved to the South, but last year I dealt with Philadelphia's record of 77 inches of snow. I had the right equipment though. My Gravely did a great job with either blade or blower, though I usually left the blower on. Here are some equipment pics after I built my weight box for the Gravely and after getting everything painted.
Sure doesn't look like that now about four years later. I sold the blade and blower, and the recent weather has made me wonder if it wasn't a mistake. But no, it just melts here. And a tractor doesn't help with ice anyway. So another TBN member has my blower and I sure hope it worked well for him this year.
So while you guys have been getting snow in your face, I'm happy to just remember. Sixty plus years of it is enough...
