Well, yes it may snow more but the sun is now high enough in the sky to melt any snow ASAP. Spring is on the way and there is nothing we can do to stop it.

When we lived in the Rockies, we called March "Mud month"

Here this morning it is 28*, but there are a few flowers on wild plum trees and the Oaks are starting to "swell" on the tips of the limbs. Not long and it will be 90*

I've been seeing a lot of white blossoms on trees in our neighborhood this week, including a couple of our own Bradford Pear trees.

Robins! HA. We see them here in January with a foot of snow on the ground. They are eating berries off of trees.

Although some Robins do overwinter in this area, we live at over 3100 feet elevation. The robins are all gone from our neighborhood by November. Supposed to be fifty degrees here today--warmest in five months....Regards, Mike

Coming from northern Vermont and moving to Mississippi I find the climates almost identical.

In Vermont we had the 2 or 3 days above 90 in the summer. In Mississippi we had the 2 or 3 days below freezing in the winter.

In Vermont we had "ice out" when the lakes thawed in the spring/summer. In Mississippi we've got "ice in" when small ponds actually freeze over some nights.

In Vermont we would get three feet of snow. In Mississippi we got 3 feet snow, the flakes were 3 feet apart.

In Vermont the ground would freeze 6' deep. In Mississippi the ground cooks 6' deep.
