The last day of winter in my book.
When I make it to March I,too, feel I have survived winter. Now all I need is to see the first Robin, and I'll be home free!! Happy Spring and Regards, Mike
Coming from northern Vermont and moving to Mississippi I find the climates almost identical.
In Vermont we had the 2 or 3 days above 90 in the summer. In Mississippi we had the 2 or 3 days below freezing in the winter.
In Vermont we had "ice out" when the lakes thawed in the spring/summer. In Mississippi we've got "ice in" when small ponds actually freeze over some nights.
In Vermont we would get three feet of snow. In Mississippi we got 3 feet snow, the flakes were 3 feet apart.
In Vermont the ground would freeze 6' deep. In Mississippi the ground cooks 6' deep.
