I have a TO30 Z129 that has been converted to 12v. I recently purchased a 12v ignition coil that I'm unsure is the correct part. My new coil states that an external resistor is required, which my previous coil didn't have.
This is the link to the coil I just bought
Ignition Coil, 12 Volt [S.61016] - $16.60 : Fix That Ferguson!, Tractor parts for Ferguson and Massey Ferguson tractors.

I've seen other coils that are priced 3 times as much..(ones with 3.0 ohms resistance and ones with .6 ohms resistance) I'm assuming these are the ones I should've purchased.I've never worked on or purchased parts for this tractor. Did I purchase a $15 coil when I should've got one for $45? These other coils say "use with inductive ignition systems"..Here is an example of what I'm considering

Is the coil I've recently purchased usable?
