the F rotor for the 59 inch model has 88 grass knives and the more knives you have the better the cut the larger one has 112 knives.

you can order the hydraulic side shift later but it will cost you for more freight.

They can order the wider ones and they have regular deliveries from italy as they sell a lot of flail mowers.

Yes, they sell the Caroni mowers from the home page and in the stores they operate.

you can order a larger mower from them and you will have to wait a bit
(shipping from Italy) etc. you can also buy the front mounted version as well as they have the front mounts for the flail mowers:

The folks at Pronovost who are the parent of Hardy equipment have a front mount three point hitch for small tractors with left and right hand gear box for both front and rear mount three point attachments that would allow you to use the rear mounted flail mowers up front easily with no issues.

No what I mean is there another website to look at pictures of the bigger Caroni flails (like 8 foot flails)

Last time I looked at the Caroni website their biggest flail was the TM1900 which is 75 inches wide (cut). Never heard of a 8ft Caroni flail.

Good morning,


the only way to gain width is to buy 2 caroni flail mowers and mount one in front of the tractor most all the models offer front mounting options as well.

The Hardy division of Pronovost has a front 3 point hitch PTO and gear box unit for small tractors 20-50 hp with mid points and possibly flywheel gearbox connections, it will allow you to use a mower up front and the rear with a side shift option.

You may need a front PTO gear box powered from the flywheel but thats easliy done by a lot of manufacturers offering three point hitches and gear boxes for front mounting.

OK, so Caroni quits at 75". I have seen Deere & Bush hog 8 footers and some Ford 90".

I know the thread is a little old but I was wondering what EastTex Frank found out about a flail in this area. Seems that common wisdom in these parts, where the bahia is almost as strong as steel:laughing: is that flails wont work well. I've read the long and new flail thread and do not see any users in this area. The shortline guy I buy from dosent carry the canroni flail but he does carry their FM. I asked him why and he said you end up with a pretty uneven cut on our grass - seems like most people that like flails are from where there is lush grass not this wirery stuff
