To Do in Nashville

We are spending the week in Nashville TN. Anybody have suggestions on things to see or do while we are here?

We came for the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament which our team, Murray State University, won. The final game was the hardest played, most intense basketball game I have ever witnessed! Great way to start the week.

We have tickets to the Predators games Tuesday and Thursday. About two days of shopping is all even my wife can stand. So we have Monday, Wednesday, and Friday open.

Our tastes in music are not hard-core country and we aren't into celebrity watching.

Any tips would be appreciated.

To bad RSKY. My wife and I where there for a expo. not huge country music fans, but love music in general.

We went to the Country Music hall of fame and it was incredible, we even got to see Martina McBride (sp):thumbsup: That little lady is a looker!!! They where doing a commercial or something like that. The museum was worth the the time just to see the memorabilia.

Studio "B" Was also incredible and a short tour. Want to see where allot of music super stars spent allot of time, then check it out. I liked it just from the music history there, and the tech is cool from the past.

The County Music museum is right behind the place where the Preds play.

The Nashville Symphony is basically across the street.

The home of President Andrew Jackson is in Hermitage.

For Friday night March 9th I would Highly recommend the Jack Pearson Band at 3rd & Lindsley Bar & Grill. Jack is one of the best Guitarist in the country. Plays primarily Blues & Jazz. Jack Pearson Bio

3rd & Lindsley is know for music and has great sound. Typical bar food menu.

The predators games are great, we have gone to a bunch of them.

Allison Kraus is going to be here on the 9th also. But we are leaving that morning. We only live 2-1/2 hours away and are looking for something different.

Check Nashville Restaurants | Urbanspoon for the best BBQ in town. The locals typically check in there and they would know.

I use the spoon all the time when I am on the road,9 outa 10 times its right on the money

The "new" and "old" grand old opry , both nice places to see. Especially the new one.
