Well, thank you very much.

I attended this morning's Rememberance Day parade at the Cenotaph in my wee town... wonderful turn-out by the school (along with the local Navy Cadets), the town and, of course, the Veterans. And this isn't a 'holiday' in Aus either, our big one is the 25th of April (ANZAC Day).

Wow. What a mean thing to say. I am not for war but it sometimes is a necessary evil. Let's hope our governments know when it is in fact the correct thing to do and many thanks to the vets that served. I would hate to think what evil would have come upon us without our forces. Thanks again.

I accept the thanks and I extend the Thanks to all Vets and Active duty military.
My Uncle Sam provided me expense paid trips from Kentucky to San Antonio and Amarillo, Tx, Then the beautiful Flathead Valley in Montana, the flats South of Minot, ND and from the extreme cold to the extreme heat of Hon Tre Island/Nha Trang, VN while also paying me a salary, not a big salary, but never the less a salary which was tax exempt the last year and they gave me my own M16 to carry with ammo and a bit of a bonus salary (called it hazardous duty pay?) and explained to me what "Free fire zone" meant and how important it was to pay attention.:cool2:

I have a special place in my heart for the WWII generation ... the greatest generation ... but I am humbled by those who serve our country without concern for their safety. THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR VETS.
