Im wondering why all other models in the TN line are offered in 2 and 4wd exc the 95 which is 4wd only. Are they planning to offer a 2wd model eventually? If not whats the message...move to a 'higher trim' line for 2wd? Why would they do that? Im trying to think about this logically but maybe theres no good answer? Anyone?

If I had a TN 95, I would not care. I would just slip the 4WD lever into 2 wd and smile.

Why would you spend $ for an option that wouldn't be useful for your operation?

You can always go down a step or up a step to get the 2wd. I have not priced a TN 95 but I imagine it is quite close to the TL series. Check it out.

As for standard FWA on some tractors, you will find a lot of tractors only come in FWA now. I know the TG and MX is FWA only as very few people want a 2wd tractor anymore. Small utilities are the same way, most people buy them with FWA so why invest in a heavier front axle for the TN 95 when it needs the FWA to make use of its extra power (unless you only need it for the PTO in which case you just jump to the TL which is a much nicer haying rig)

Thanx. I was only looking at the top end of the TN line b/c it gives just enough PTO hp so going down one mdl wouldnt work. I understand about the need for 4wd but not in all cases. It would be nice if 2wd was offered. However, your suggestion of going to the TL is probably best as transmission choices are much better. I just dont want to spend more than is necessary....

Have you priced out a TN95A compared to the TL90A. If you do please post the price you are given as I am curious. The TL line didn't use to be that much more then the top of the TN line and this was before they came out with the 4 cylinder TN95A.

Personally, if given the two lines and your main job is going to be haying I would get the TL-A over the TN-A without even thinking twice. The only question would be if I wanted to spend the extra for the TS-A over the TL-A. The TL series has been and still is a great haying tractor. I would have bought one instead of my TN but back then I wasn't even thinking about haying. Since then I have had the luxury to try the TL-A out on my baler and there is no question it was a ton nicer then my TN65. Even with the AC running there were no problems with power and the extra weight handled the baler that much nicer.

Yes, ive priced the 95 (35k w/o a cab). Im not sure how much give there was in that price.

Yes, the main event will be hay. I dont plan on any ground contact equipment exc a no till drill. I havent yet looked into what thatll take for hp though. I think not much...thoug I could be wrong.

Thanx for the infos about TN vs TL!

This is particularly good info...I was thinking Id have to go 10 hp over what I really needed in a cab tractor.

Remember that with this global design of today's tractors not ever user is figured into the equation. Outside of certain parts of Asia and North America not many 2wd ag-tractors are sold. Like Robert said some models are not even made in 2wd any longer.

As of the present time New Holland will not offer the TN95 in 2wd. When pricing against a TL-A there is not a lot of difference in price. When you take into account how much more you get in a TL-A than the TN-A its a wash out in price difference. The flat platform design is worth the difference alone
