I can't seem to figure out how to set my tractor to top dead center, so I can remove the injection pump. I looked at the manual , but I don't know what marks am I suppost to line up. how do I load up pictures.

U have to go thru the front of the engine & rotate it IN THE CORRECT/NORMAL ROTATION of the engine & line up the 4's that are stamped on the gears..
There a nice write-up on it on this forum.. either google "TN45 injection pump" & go down to the TBN section or use the search box on the main page..
U must have a gear puller to get the pump off.. Good luck.
BTW>> WHY do u wanna pull the pump?? a little background would be nice..

U can find the correct rotation by "bumping" the key switch & watching the fan..in MOST cases.
Its VERY important that u go in the correct rotation because if u don't, you'll add "slop" to the timing..
IF u go in the correct rotation, it reduces the gear-train back lash..{slop}

Its probably best to remove the valve cover TO BE SURE your on the right stroke.{compression}
U have to remove the injector lines ANYWAY.. so do it 1st & remove the V. cvr.
{TIP} The engine is WAY EASIER to turn without the injectors in it..

The flywheel is marked PMS at TDC.

What do I line this up or where do I find the markings. I found the 4 on the pump gear. Do I just keep turning the motor until I line it up with another four in the lower gear . But as for the flywheel I can't seem to find a dial to mark it too.??

As far as why I want to pull the pump out. It's leaking fuel from the throttle spring. And it's sticking takes it a couple of seconds to return to idle. When you let off the throttle

According to the other threads I've read, YES, u keep turning until the 4's line-up.. or get a manual.
IF u remove the valve cover.. you'll be able to SEE which cylinder your on..
