Have a TN75 and the the lift arms are up and I can not get them to lower. Have not had the tractor very long but this is the first time that this has happened to me. What am I doing wrong here? Not real familiar with NH as this is my first one. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Most tractors have a valve to control the speed of the implement dropping... It is usually found down on the floorboard, just forward of the seat. Bet buckazoids that is your problem.... [ not many, though.... ] Worth a try.... See a knob down in that area, try turning it CCW/CW. Some of them turn pretty easy, and you can 'adjust' them just getting on and off your tractor.

Thanks Jerry. Will look for a control knob when I get home tonight.

Also, the lift arms only go down by gravity, so if there isn't an implement on them, you might have to stand on one (assuming something might be tight or binding).

Ok. I have searched for a knob that would control the drop rate and I can not find one. I do have a mower mounted to the lift arms (and stuck up in the air) that I was using when this happened. I pulled the cover off of the shaft that the lift and draft levers are hooked to. Both shafts seems to be turning freely. Checked the level of the hydraulic fluid which is high. There is a lever mounted just under the top of the right lift arm with a cam and lever attached to it. Didn't mess with this much other than to pull back on the lever while trying to lower the lift arms, as I don't what it is or what it's supposed to do. I'll try to keep messing with it but if anyone has any ideas or suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There is no drop rate knob. Is the Lift-O-Matic set in the 'lower' position? that is the pair of buttons/levers attached to the RH inner fender. It's an end-of-row quick raise device. If inadvertantly put n the 'raise' position, the hitch will not lower. The level and cam at the RH end of the hitch rockshaft sets the height limit. Shouldn't have anything to do with lack of drop.

Hopefully, someone with a tractor like yours will chime in.... Sorry to hear that your problem has not been solved yet. But, there has to be a valve somewhere that controls the drop rate. If you turn it down too much, it will keep the 3pt from droping. Anywhilst, that is my story, and I am a sticking with it... good luck, Jerry [ woops, someone did chime in while I was typing... ]

There is a spring loaded button (2" long and thin) on the right hand side inner gaurd beside the seat . It has a secondary lock button , if this button is sticking out the arms will stay up .

What Ironhorse points out. This is for quick lift of 3-point, like at the headland of a field. Hit button, turn, push back in, implement returns to ground at the preset heigth.

You got a manual for it?

Finally got it straightened out. Removed the lift distributor valve and found that the pilot valve and relief valve were gunked up and stuck. Cleaned everything real good and put it back together. So far so good.

Thank you everyone for trying to get me back up and running.
