On a new TN65D that was not ordered with a radio but came with speakers and all the wiring,do you have to purchase from New Holland the wiring harness that fits the tractor harness to fit lets say a Sony Radio,or is there a after market item? Thanks

On my TN75D which came with the same harness yours did, I purchased the New Holland harness for about $35 to get the connector and wires to mate with the tractor harness. I cut off the other end which I believe has an Audiovox set of plugs on it and used tubular splices to attach it to my Pioneer radio harness that cam with the radio. You do not need to purchase the harness but it sure made the job easier. If I did it again I would also install a headphone jack as the radio is not always that easy to hear. I'd set it up so that when the headphones are plugged in the speakers were disconnected.

You could always just cut the supplied tractor side connector off as well as the radio connector. Then solder the appropraite wires and then use heat shrink tubbing to insulate the solder joints. Thats the cheap way.
