If you're patient you may find one on ebay. Several of us have. I paid $30 for my TC18 manual on ebay.

Service manuals are pricey. The cheapest that you will buy them from a dealer is if they are purchased with your machine. Mine were $100.00 at that time however the real deals are as others have already mentioned are at eBay. Just shop till you drop. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I could not find any better deal.
I have found that the manual is not great in my humble opnion. For example I find the electrical diagrams are not very clear, or could at least have been done in a better way. You can find what you need but it takes more time than it should.
But I bought it since it has some good information in places. Also thats what about one trip to the dealer for service worth of money, if your lucky.
So one or two service / repairs you do yourself and you break even.
Another point is that if you plan to keep the tractor a long time ~$150 is not much to spend on a 20-30K investment.

I just checked the price on the TN service manual; at my dealer. It was $247 and that does not include the parts manual. I happened to glance over his shoulder and saw that his cost was $207. I've never seen a TN manual on ebay.

Wow. Wonder what the difference is between $158 and $247?
I ended up just purchasing at dealer, as I pretty much agree with Phred that one or ttwo times used would pay for itself. The diagrams are OK but not that great for a novice like me. No big deal, cause if I have a major issue it will go to the dealer anyway. I just like to know a little about as much as possible so I can understand where my money goes.
The same diagrams in the owners manual are also contained in the service manual too.
I did complete my 50hr service this weekend on tractor, serviced rotary cutter and hogged 25 acres, chainsawed a few scrubs, and found 6-7 more yellow jacket nests. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
Could really feel fall in the air this weekend up in NC mountains. A Great weekend for me!!!
