I got a tn75da that has a wining ( not sure on the spelling) noise under the cab somewhere. First to let you know we are a rightaway mowing contractor that also do a lots of slope and canals. That being said the noise is loud when running in high 3rd and 4th gear I dont road run it on the road anymore because of this. First the crew that ran it problemly didnt keep an eye on the hdys fluids and they used it on some slope. We usually over fill the fluilds alittle to be safe. I have change the trans and hyd fillters and no pieces in them. You can only hear the wining when in high gear normal road speed not so in the slower speeds. Its been this way for a while now and we just lowboy where we need it, but would love to find it so it can be put back on the road crew.My town's moblie mec.and I say it could be in the bearing on the axles..gears in the trans. or a number of things. Just dont have that kind of money to start quess and looking. Any ideals...RickB!!! or anybody...sorry for the long story. thanks

Check to see the front driveshaft and couplings aren't making contact with the shielding.

Make sure the MFD clutch is actually disengaging without relying on the instrument panel icon. Test by jacking up one front wheel.

It's the front differential/MFWD is still engaged.

I notice this exact noise when I forget to put it in 2wd and putter off in high range.

it should come out of 4wd (I realize it's not really 4wd, but it's easier to type that way) when you click the button. Sometimes you have to hit the brake to make it fully disengage.

Or, as RickB says it's isn't disengaging.

Thanks but nope..I got 4 tn75 and one of the last new one was still engage even when out. So I know what it sound like I also know what it sounds like when coming to a stop at a red light. Its about the same sound but maybe 100 times louder. But I have also check to see if it was in engage but it isn't. thanks guys.

I'm thinking the guys mowing with it on a slope did not keep an eye on fluid. But it could be the trush washers...the bearing on the axle...or the gears in trans.still too many ideals and way too much to take apart to look.

sorry not yet still going on for about 6 months. Just dont know what direction to start looking into it most likely have to go in for repairs. But the repair man that does the work on NH and have for many moons have no ideals without taking it all apart. That why I have not sent it in yet cant afford to look around when it could be from about 3 diff areas. Thanks Rick and everyone else.
