I have a 10 year old Mule 550 2WD and the rear tires are shot and one of them I can't seem to plug the leak. The sizes appears to be 22x11x10. Should any "ATV" tire work OK? It has some kind of Dunlop tires on it, can't really make out the model. Anyone have a good source for such a tire with good prices? I assume I will have to take them somewhere to get them mounted, and I will put some slime in there otherwise they wouldn't last 5 minutes around here. What are some brands to stay away from? Are these bias ply tires? Are 2 ply rated tires OK?

Most any tire shop will carry a line of tires for UTV's and ATV's. They will have their standard tires and they will have their fancy, supper mudding tires that you can spend a lot more on. I found that standard, factory tires to be the best deals. There are too many brands out there to choose from, so I just relied on what they recommend when I've bought tires.

google the size. You'll get all kinds of tire options and prices... That's what I did when I replaced the tires on my ATV

I had a friend in a similar situation a few years ago. He was looking at replacing his tires on his mule and when he inquired at one of the Gander Mountain or Bass Pro shops, They offed up a set of new take-off tires and wheels for next to nothing.

You might ask around and see if yu cold score a similar deal.
