Anyone know a good place to get some 4.5x10 tires for the front of my 1401? It's 2wd, the tires are dry rotted and the tubes are sticking out the sidewalls.

It that isn't an odd size...some of the dealers here should be able to help u with that

4.5 x 10 tri rib is a pricey little tire...pushing high 90s.

Do you think anything else would work ok? like an Atv tire or something similar?

I don't think your tractor will know the difference. A three-rib probably helps stay on course in a rice paddy but that's not likely your operating environment.

My neighbor who operates a couple hundred acres of orchards says HD trailer tires make the best front tractor tires for dry ground. And they are acceptable, not optimum, for wet slippery ground. (You use more brake steering). He says they stand up a lot better than tractor tires for heavy front loader work.

If you are mostly mowing and tilling I expect anything with adequate weight rating should do. I would look at little boat trailer tires, D rating if available.
