My little B8200 still has turfs on the front. I got the R4 to replace the rears a couple months ago over at Gold Country. I've had my loader about three years. It works fine with the turfs. For full time heavy loader use I think you would want R4/R1, since the turfs are kinda squishy; they are a floatation tire.

I want to get the R4 fronts, because between a squishy front tire, and no power steering, a full bucket makes armstrong steering work too much /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The best thing is to win the lottery, so you can have one tractor for mowing, another for loader work, another for backhoe work... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Good folks over there. That's where I got my tractor, too.

The R4s work pretty well for me, but I don't use my tractor to do finish mowing. I try to keep it off the lawn - those tires are very tough on turf, even if it is reasonably dry. If nothing else, they compact the soil pretty bad.

I have Turfs on my 2910. After using the FEL on blacktop, the front tires are starting to show some wear. Tires have 200 hours on them. I also had to put tubes in the front tires. Beyond these problems I believe turf tires work very well. I have not had to put my tire chains on since I bought tractor 3 years ago.

you might want to check that out with your dealer. i know there a restrictions when running different tires front to back, gets very complicated so best to check it out

I don't do loader work.. but i did notice that when I got new rears for my NAA, they were 6ply r-3. and I can get them to spin... I like the float on them though.. and I know my trailer does too as it growns when iload that NAA... I think the bigg 16.9-24 r3's help a bit in the weight distribution.

Most of our heavy equipment at the Const. co. I work at has ag style tires on all the ground angaging equipment.. probably closer to r4- r1.
