You my mother in law. That will add a ton or 2. Only problem is the constant nagging.

You may find that trufs would work O.K. like others have said. They bite pretty good on soft ground, when it gets muddy is when they are useless. 200lbs souns like a pretty good amount of weight to start with on the back.

BP, nice setup by the way with your new tires. If you search the internet for OMNI mfg you will find something that attaches to your 3pt arms to which weightlifting weights can be added. This is the route I'm going to go. Will likely see if I can do what I need to before purchasing 2nd set of tires after adding ballast - I would only need them once or twice a year for probably the next 3 yrs so not that economical.

Connor, thanks. I do like them. I do not think the R4s have substantial traction improvements over the Turfs they replaced, but they are certainly tougher and likely more puncture resistant as well.

I am thinking about just taking a draw bar, with 3 pt pins on both end. Take my wheel weights and bolt or weld them onto a $20 draw bar and make a rear weight. I don't know if weight hung from the 3 pt is quite as effective as having the weights directly on the wheels, but it will be easier to deal with. Having a 5 foot implement on the back is alright, but not very much fun around the house, trees, buildings, poles, etc.

My BX2200 had bar tires and worked well for FEL as well as mowing. When shopping for my new BX2660, the salesman suggested R4. I was somewhat reluctant, but went with them. After eight months of all types of use, I am very happy with them and don't need a second set as I thought I might. I had wheel weights put on as I have lost a lot of money with tire punctures on my bigger tractors and losing all my fluid.

Thanks TripleR. In hindsight I might have been better off with R4's. Tractor is not that heavy where it would have caused damage to my lawn with these tires (R4's). These were actually suggested by my selling dealer but I chose the turfs. Will see if adding weight to the rear will help me do what I need to in terms of loader work. Thanks again for everyone's help.
