I don't know about your machine, but, some Mahindras I've seen have the recommended pressure on the wheel right by the valve stem.

I would say that about 15-20psi in the rear and 20-25psi in the front would be fine for off road conditions. And for hard ground/pavement you could add a little more.

Dear Frank, this isn't a one size fits all question. Since there are agricultural, industrial, and turf tires, and each one's inflation would depend on whether they are ballasted or not. The Mahindra Operators Manual has three pages of charts, and critical information on tire pressures. Let us know what type yours are. Bob

Frank, the Mahindra manual on page 46 states 30psi for rears, and 40 in front. My Titan industrials have a higher psi than in the manual. Page 50 warns DO NOT inflate a tire that has had a complete loss of air. If the tire has lost all air pressure, have a qualified tire mechanic service the tire.

To add air to a partly inflated tire, use the following procedure: l. Use an air hose with a remote shutoff valve and a self-locking air chuck. 2. Stand behind the tread of the tire and make sure all persons are away from the side of the tire before you start to add air. 3. Inflate the tire to the recommended air pressure. DO NOT inflate the tire more than the recommended pressure. NOTE: Tires can be inflated 4psi over maximum recommended in chart when tractor is used for heavy draft operatin and ground compaction is not a problem.

I hope this helps. I don't know why one must be so careful when adding a few lbs. of air. What do other owner's out there do? Bob in Oregon

Lawsuits proably. Reminds me of Wanabego adding in their owners manual for the driver to remain seated at all times while driving. Seems some fool sued when he crashed after getting up and going to the fridge. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
