Tire Selection Tire options for Bolens 1502

I noticed some cuts in my tires while taking the chains off so I thought I'd look around for tires, just to get some ideas. I've got tires on now, and can find several models of those in 29-12.5x15. I thought I'd try to find industrial tires on that size, but no dice.
Am I looking in the wrong places, or do they not exist ?
The tractor isn't 4 wheel drive, would changing size up or down some bother anything ? (Like up to 31 ?)

What type are you looking for? Turf or Ag? Carlisle has tires in that size, might not like the price! I put a set of R-1 on the back of mine over 10 yrs ago and love them! Allows me to go just about anywhere I need to.

I was interested in industrial tires, I think r4?
I mow, snowblow/snowplow and turn a small garden. The turf tires on it now are a bit lacking for everything except the mowing.

29x1200x15 06 Firestone Turf & Field G-2
This is the closest to a R4 you'll find. 6 ply rating. Ken Jones Tire almost $300 each!

With it being two-wheel drive, it won't hurt anything to go up a little bit in tire size (as long as it fits in the fender).
You will lose a little bit of torque and gain a little bit of top-end speed by going to the larger tire.
Another option that you might look at is the Carlsile All Trail or HD field Trax lines of tires.
They are more aggressive than a turf tire and do much better than a R4 In the snow.

it looks like the 15 inch wheel really limits your options. I put ATV tires on my cub and really like them. 12 inch wheels though.

If it is a 15in tire, you can also look at pickup truck mud tires.
That will get you somewhere in between your current turf tires and R4 tires for traction with probably a very similar durability but the prices will probably be significantly better than R4 tires.
