Anyone put snowchains on the back wheels of an BX24? When I look it seems very tight on the right side where the fuel-tank sits, please pics if possible, thanks!

okgarcia,

What kind of chains did you get from White Mountain Chain for your BX24?

I noticed they have very many kinds to choose from.

Thankyou

I also ordered mine from tirechains.com, the shipping was a little expensive, but it was still much less expensive than the other quotes I was getting

The last two tractors had tire chains from tractortirechains.com The dealer said he would take our chains in trade and either modify them or provide new ones for the new tractor. I tried my R4s without chains and it did not work well at all. They are necessary if you want to work in the snow with any efficiency.

From my dealer salesguy...about a 3030HSDC (might be relevant)

John, the wheel spacer kit is $297 plus 1 hour install. But note that the spacer kit is not compatible with mid mount mower. That means you will have to jack up and remove spacer kit each year. Then reinstall in fall.

Question:

Why is the MMM not compatible with spacers? Not that I've tried that combo (yet), but I'm considering the spacers and want to know ahead of time what the limitations may be.

The implication here is that the MMM gets WIDER as it goes outward, and I don't see that (or remember that, it's still under some snow). Although I'll go out and look, I suppose.

The anti-scalp wheels on the MMM are usually just outside the rear tires. Widening causes the rear tires to hit the anti-scalp wheels.
