tire ballast

ok i know there is a thread on this already but i went to my local john deere and asked if they did liquid tire ballast and they have never heard of it i was under the impression that it was a common thing anybody know what to do. would like rim guard but not know how to get it done

Is the dealer primarily a lawn and garden dealer? Otherwise, if he's an Ag equipment dealer I'd say he's blowing wind up your skirt:laughing:

Someone there knows how to do it. Filling tires is part and parcel to any tractor dealer. If no one there has ever heard of doing that then start looking for another dealer.

They have GOT to be blowing smoke.

You're in a small town in the middle of farming country where every 5yr old knows what you're talking about.

If they're not, I would seriously take my business elsewhere.

Their ignorance could cost you major$$$ on other things and you might not know when.

if it's a tractor dealer.. and they said they've never heard of it.. I'd contact jd corporate and chew an ear.. they have morons working that store or owning that franchise. I bet a call to corporate or a regional manager or person responsible for the franchines owners can help you.
