Tipping when picking up groceries

No Trespassing - it exactly 26 miles - one way - from my house to downtown Spokane. I don't like driving in big cities. That includes Spokane. I'll go to an amusement park if I want to play "bumper cars".

A short story. There is a particularly cute clerk at the local grocery store. I guess it's their policy - they always ask if I would like help loading my groceries into the Taco Wagon ( Ram HD 2500 Power Wagon ).

I always say - no - but could sure use some help getting them into the house. She has gotten over blushing when I say this. But she does say - Not today Mr Land.

I'm not really the type of shopper these services seem to be catering to. For one thing I'm kinda fussy about perishables (meat, produce, etc.), I almost never just grab whatever's on top of the pile and call it good. Plus I always check the mark-down section. Maybe if you're willing to let someone else select your groceries, and/or find shopping a major imposition it might be for you, but that's not me.
WM75guy makes a good point about them trying to foist the older stock on you to.

Points taken. I never buy meat from Walmart, we find sales on meat elsewhere. The produce the shopper picked looked fine. My wife will probably miss shopping the day-old bread rack.

I've never done it. I always had concerns that it was a way for the grocer to move lower quality produce or meat. We always just stop at the grocery store on the way home from work. No extra charges that way.

I look forward to my weekly trip to the grocery store. I get to see the neighborhood, get in a good walk through the store and flirt with the girls. ;)

There are no extra charges at Wally World btw.

Yes - Tinhack. Flirting with the girls. That IS an important part. That's why I always have a grocery list. Sometime I forget what I'm really there for.
