My neighbor asked me to help clean up her yard so she could put the house up for sale. One tree that needed to come out was a sizeable Willow. Not a huge tree, but definetly a large one. I got the tree bucked into long lengths and hauled most of the chucks with my loader. This left me with the trunk. I put the long bar on and attacked the trunk from both sides. I cut the trunk into 4 large chunks and really didn't want to cut it up any more than I had to as each cut was taking a full tank of fuel to complete. After completing the cut, I used wedges to break the piece free. I now needed to get the pieces up to the road for disposal. I had figured on using my pickup for the task, but my little 1110d was handy so I figured I'd have some fun. I set the choker and chained it to the hitch which is well below the axle. I couldn't believe it when the tractor actually started to move the log! I pulled the log up a slight incline, proably 150' in second range, second gear, 3/4 throttle.
Sorry about the poor quality pics, the sun had just set and the flash wasn't strong enough to properly fill the scene.
