ah hah! i knew i saw something like this before in a pamplet, but couldn't find anything online. I'm guessing that would make a tree shear look like a rusty crosscut saw. but then again, if you are cycling 10" trees in less than 8 seconds, the difference may be negligible. you ever try one out?

Talked to the salesman long enough to get the price. Couldn't justify the cost for what we do. I estimate cycle in 4-5 seconds unless you are pushing the limits.

Ryan's Equipment makes a saw. I bid on one from PA but he wanted too much...I think it was 14K. New these go for around 21K. After thinking about it the shear seemed like a better unit for me. Saw means changing teeth and rocks are a problem. Ryan's Equipment make the Fecon shears.

We've got a job coming up in May where there will be a lot of big trees taken out. I think I might set up the camera in the cab for that one.

Yep, the 14" one looks exactly like our Fecon except the paint. Interesting they offer a adapter for a excavator. May check into that when we decide to bite the bullet on one.

Man I wish I had that equipment this summer, I am 14 and will be clearing dead trees and branches from the pens at my uncles horse ranch with a chainsaw. (but at least it is working out doors with equipment instead of video games) (maybe he will let me use his skid steer to move the dead trees)
