Time. for A Set Of Pallet Forks What about them??

My 1736 is good gor 3000 lbs at the end of the arms. So what are my consideration for general purpose lifting forks? I don稚 wanna get something overly heavy it値l pick up more than the tractor is capable of but I want them as long as I possibly can 48 inches I知 thinking. I see 42 and 46 inch are a lot cheaper and seem more in the load range for my tractorSo what痴 my considerations thanks.

My Mahindra 2565 will handle 3100# so I bought forks to handle 4000#. They are also 48" long which I wouldn't go any shorter, at least not for my purposes.

I don't remember what brand mine are but one nice thing about them is I can turn the forks upside down on the back frame if I need extra lift height. As shown in the picture, I get about 2 ft. more lift height by doing that. I've had 3 occasions to turn them over and later this week will be the 4th when some stone masons come to work on my chimney.

Edited to add a closer picture of the forks turned upside down.

I have 48". If you load or unload off of a trailer or truck bed the extra reach is necessary.

I'll agree, however, that sometimes the added length can be an issue. As with most everything it's a matter of paying attention.

I'd really like to know the brand and model when you get a chance.

I have a second floor in my shop to store things and my LS doesn't quite reach up high enough and something like this would be perfect. Just place the pallet on the forks, load the items, raise up and leave on the second floor until needed.

I dunno. I have 42" forks and load pallets on and off the pickup and equipment trailer routinely. Extra reach would sometimes be useful depending on the situation.

Check to see if they fit your application width wise. I had to grind another two notches to get the spacing I wanted for lifting IBC totes.

Last night I took a look, no marking on the forks indicating who made them. I also looked up my receipt, no brand was listed, just said 4000 lb. 48" forks. Attached are a couple pictures that may give you an idea of what to look for.

Thank you for looking and posting those. Makes me wonder if many brands can do that??

I suspect most brands will do that if they have the upper and lower hooks on the forks. The hook spacing will be the same regardless of which way the forks are mounted.
