Had a chance today to split about a cord of ash. Overall, the splitter works great. Had one round that the splitter had a tough time going through, but other than that, it ripped through everything else great. A couple of observations, the table grate works nice, but needs to have a way to secure it to the splitter. Multiple times, the wood would push the grate out of place and nearly dislodge it. I will be drilling a hole so I can add a pin to secure it to the splitter when in use. Something I think should be standard. Second, I'm only 5'7" and the splitting height was still a little too low for me. It could stand to be a couple inches higher to make things a little easier on the back. Otherwise, its a fantastic splitter and I'm really glad I purchased it.
