Tiller Tiller, Industrial?

Had the tiller out for the first time last week. First time I've used it, since it's so heavy, I wondered if I could pull it. Well it works just fine if I don't try to run fast. Does a good jop tearing up the soil on first pass, and really goes deep on second pass.

This thing seems to be really heavy when I lift it up, it's 48" with 4 tines per flange. The id tag says Industrial, does that mean it's "Industrial"? The thing looks line it could tear up asphalt. Anybody know how much it weighs?

Yea, you'd need a MIG welder to work on them.

Milkman, I have the Befco T-40 does not say Industrial but that thing weighs in at about #400.

Was tilling a small area to put in tomato plants, till this year i had been using the Howard tiller, everytime i till it, there's a stump along the edge that is below the ground, and i always forget about it and the tiller would jump straight up. This time with the Agrator, same thing, i forgot about the stump, and all of a sudden the tractor and all jumped forward about a foot, i'll remember next time.
