Well i think i am going to pull the plug on a new tiller just not sure if my ct 225 can handle a 6 footer. book says 19.5 pto hp but kioti ck 27 book says 20.5 pto hp. that seems odd to me that they would be 1 hp different in that it seems like the excact same motor guess we will nevr know. either way i think it would handle a 5 foot ok but but would rather a 6 foot my r4 tires are like 5 foot 3 wide. anyone use a 6 footer on a ct225 or a ck27 ??? Also how do these tractors handle 5 foot bush hogs????

You could probably handle a 5 footer okay but there will be times you may be wishing for more power. If you get a 6 footer, bring your lunch, you will be doing some sitting and waiting for the RPM's to catch up.

Different machine, but I ran a standard duty 5' brush hog on my 8N, and it had around the same power as you do, but a weaker 3pt, so you should be fine. I tried a 4' model first (neighbor had one not being used), and it was just too small.

Thanks guys I appreciate the info hp ratings on the tillers are kind of all over the place plus I've not seen horsepower ratings on 4 foot or 5 foot Bushogs. I had A 4 footer it won't come close to covering tracks so I sold it before even trying it.

That size tractor would take a 60" max.. Many tillers are sized at 58".

Well I picked up my new Fivefoot tiller this weekend got a chance to try it out it was definitely the right size didn't seem to bother Tractor at all unless I hit something really really heavy and hard when I was in a turn. otherwise pulled it effortlessly. Tilled Garden so fast had to go look for something else to till so I headed to back area and tilled up about 1/3 ac of weeds in no time. Very impressive chopped up everything first pass. I am happy I went with a tiller insted of a disk.
