Tighten your bolts

Can't stress enough the need to go over your bolts after a few hours- I found loader bolts were all a "little" loose and one or two that needed several turns to get them tight. A couple on mower were in need too.
Recheck your fluids and regrease zerk fittngs too. I think a couple of the more obscure ones were missed.
(CK30HST, FEL, 72"RFM)
Also one fuse is marked "horn" must be for european use---I dont see a horn-i think europe gets a rear view mirror too.

The bolts and nuts need checked every so often. Especially on attachments. There's a good bit of stress and vibration put on them.
After getting my CK30hst w/fel from the dealer, I went over everything and found grease fittings he missed. Also checked all the fluids.
I'm a believer in preventative maintenance. I check fluids before I use it and give it a general once over. These toys cost to much to have something break and say, if I only checked before I used it.

Yup, check everything over you recieve. I neglected to check my MMM gear box for oil when delivered and it siezed up after about 2 hours of use. It was dry as a bone.

my dealer told me (if I remember correctly) that a CK30HST LB has over 100 grease fittings....................that is alot

Went over mine for the third time after a very big day and with 20 hours on the tractor. FEL pivot pin retaining bolt gone, 6 were loose, 2 bolts on the front axle loose, lower arms on the 3 point had very little grease and I used a 3/4 of a tube of grease from front to back......the FEL just gobbles the grease but I have been running it in very dusty conditions. Resolution from now on is if any kind of loader work is done, no matter how small, grease the pivot pins! Gotta believe now when the manual says to check everything every 10 hours, I'll do it more than that!

Greg, I've always regreased my loader and backhoe after four hours of use, and nearly always push all of the old grease out rather than just a couple of squirts. Grease is cheap, loaders/backhoes not.

As KiotiJohn said; Push the old grease out.
There's no seals on these joints and dirt and water can get into them. Flushing them with new grease is a cheap way of cleaning and getting all the service you can.
Some people I talk to hate all the grease fittings on equipment. I wish every joint that moved had one, but I guess replacement parts would never get sold.
I have a grease injector needle that I've used on equipment to get into so called sealed bearings. These bearings are still running smooth well beyond their expected life.

The day before my "Big Day" on the tractor I bought a pistol grip grease gun ( Love 1 handed operation... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif ) and a case of grease. I'm now a quick draw greaser! Yesterday was another "Big Day" and another 1/2 tube a grease.

I stated out with a pistol grip and an older pump-handle type I've had for years, but there are so many zerks on the loader, tractor and backhoe that I decided to get an air gun from Harbor Freight that works great and is much faster. I think I paid about $12 on sale, and it works very well with the occasional requirement of expelling air pockets that all grease guns get.

I bought a new grease gun today from NAPA for the Kioti at the property. I opened it up to install tube of grease, pulled piston back, installed tube- before I could get top of gun on piston released on its own and expelled 1/2 a tube of grease on the floor. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif Frustrated, I looked on the box and it said Made In China.
My new motto---nothing fina' than Made in China /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

In all fairness now, are you sure you had it locked in good, didn't hit the locking lever accidentally? Mine is from China also, and is made pretty well. I've done what you did, but it was my fault as I hadn't ensured that the lock lever was locked really well. You need to push back on the handle after you pull it out to make sure it can't let go.
