The Tier specs varied with application and HP. Iirc the under 50HP equipment had a break for a while. All the info is online .

Yes.

CUT = Compact Utility Tractor
SCUT = SubCompact Utility Tractor
Don't ask about where the line of demarcation is between those two. An all-out war might break out on TBN. ;) For Kubota, the Kubota BX series would be considered a SCUT and the B and L series, along with the MX series, would be CUTs. The M series would be utility tractors. Rinse and repeat for other brands.

Oh no dangit!! Mine is a Grand series L so its a utility tractor not a "compact" utility tractor!!! :laughing::D:laughing:

tier III is just EGR. Tier iv interim is EGR and a Heavy restrictive muffler-DPF which has to regenerate when full. Tier iv final is like the trucks now. You will have all the egr, DPF and DEF stuff on the engine. DEF is the Diesel exhaust fluid. If you could stand to put your mouth over a Tier IV final diesel engine the air coming out of the pipe is cleaner than what we breath!!! Thanks Al Gore :(
