dependable: no vietnamese/chinese
Hst or shuttle shift(bad knees, 5 surgeries)
1100 hours or less
3ycl diesel
step thru design, again knees, 6'0
power steering, nice option, not required
$7000 max including delivery
rear PTO
No other major needs(for the tractor), tires clutch,paint, bearings, starter,etc
BONUS: If your tip leads me to buy that tractor, I send you $100 CASH!!!

For Deere, look for 755, 855, 4100 tractors
For Kubota, look for BX2200, B7400, B7500 tractors
I'd wager those will be right at $7K give or take a bit.
For a bit less, try Club Cadet. I don't know the model numbers.

You should be able to find something in your price range there.

Shopping for the brand names (JD, Kubota, etc...) will only leave you with prices close to new. Take a look for a used Kioti CK20 HST or equivalent. It has a lower MSRP than the big three yet has higher capacities and more standard features. I bet you can get a good unit no more than 2 years old for that price.

The local Virginia Tractor (used to be Piedmont Tractor) had a 4100 with FEL for sale. Don't know how near you are to Charlottesville, Va. It's on rte 250 just west of town. Think he has a 790 there, too. Don't know about prices.

Beverage Tractor just over the hill south of I-64 on 340 has all sorts of used tractors. This is just south of Waynesboro.
