MAHINDRA 3510
A problem developed on my Mahindra 3510 The three point wont lower
with the three point controls but will lower using the rear auxillary lines control valve.

The three point goes up fine

The rear auxillary control valve is now operating the three point in the down position

I talked to the local dealer and he informed me that Mahindra pulled
his dealership and he cant help me.

He did think that something internally has happened to the control valves
controlling the three point

The tractor only has 150 hours on it

Any dealers familiar with this type of occurance that could be of help
would be appreciated.

Not to thrilled hearing about all the Mahindra dealers that are pulling out
due to Mahindras new dealer policies.

This could make owning a Mahindra a pain in the A..

That is the second 10 series 3 point hydraulic problem I have heard on the forum and I have had 0 problems with any of the machines I have sold. So I don't have the answer for you. But if you private message me or call me with your address and phone # I will have a Mahindra service rep contact you. I'll help all I can.

PS I'm sorry for the lack of commas in my writing but the comma on the key board doesn't work.

Make sure you don't have the valve between you legs closed.
I to have several 3510 out there and not yet one problem with the 3 point.

That was the first thing checked.
The three point was working fine
the morning it quit. I just went to lower it down when I went to park it and the problem cropped up at that time.

I have not had one issue with anything on this unit till now.

Just concerned that this is not an easy repair and no support in northeast Ohio

Please don't think these are stupid questions but I am trying to narrow this down.
Are you also moving your draft lever?
Make sure you don't have your remote lever locked in a open position.
How is your tractor equipted?
Do you have a backhoe?
Were you doing anything when this happened?

Yes

I understand your questions

I am using both the three point controls Height and draft

I have a 7ft blade mounted on the three point

The only way the three point will lower is if I have both the Height and draft controls in the full down position and then activate the remote hydraulic
lever mounted up against the right side of the seat.

If the three point is all the way up and I put both three point controls
in the full down position the three point begins to creep down very very
slow for about one inch and then stops.

The only thing I was doing just before the problem surfaced was clearing
some light brush on my five acres.

I did drive over brush debris and would get small tree limbs and trunks up under the tractor and wheel wells and the tractor would splinter these as
I was operating the tractor.

I examined the tractor after all this and could not find any damage to any
part of the tractor and as the contol linkages are up high just under the seat
there was no evidence of anything getting bent or knocked off in this area
either

This is a 2002 3510 Shuttle shift.

I have the mahindra factory loader installed and those controls work normal

Thank you for the interest

Denny

Is it possible that the 3 pt up/down lever got pushed past it's stops (working quadrant)?

Sorry I can't help you with your 3PH but, what's up with the new dealer policies? My closest Mahindra dealer just informed me they won't be carrying Mahindra next year. I am days away from making a decision between Mahindra and Kubota. Anything I should know about?

My Mahindra dealer no longer has the line as well. It was however, picked up by a more established dealer that is even closer to me.

I really dont know the specifics. All the dealer told me was that Mahindra
was making it very difficult to deal with them and they didnt like the way
his business was being handled.

My understanding talking to him was several dealers are either pulling out
of Mahindra or Mahindra is dropping them before they drop Mahindra.

These are very well made tractors, I particular like the TYM versions.
It may be possible for Branson dealers to take up the slack on service with some of the Mahindras models since some of them are the same tractor.

What Mahidra's do you think are made by Branson? Other than the TYM models (the "10" series) I am not aware of anyone other than Mahidra building there tractors. In particular not Branson and Branson and TYM are unrelated other than being both Korean mfgs. (Kukje) Did you possibly mean TYM dealers?
Just curious

I meant that I thought both the Branson and the Mahindra 3510 were manufactured by
TYM and were nearly identical units. If I am mistaken I apologize for that bit of misinformation.

Branson is manufactured by Kukje but I somehow got the idea that the 3510 series of Branson
and Mahindra were both TYM units.

I have gotten a couple of emails asking about the three point problem.

There is a spring that connects the height control linkage to the internal valving of the three point
mechanism. After a thorough going over of the linkage I discovered it was missing.

I didnt know what exactly was missing whether it was a rod or spring but I realized that the valve
was not physiclly connected to anything.

About the time I figured why the three point wasnt working properly I got a call from Galen from
LAWALLS tractor confirming that my model used a spring to connect the valve to the linkage.

Hats off to Galen and also Thank you to Wallace from Wallace tractor & Equipment.

Both of them dropped a line to me right away to help.

The spring is lost so I ordered one and a couple of extra ones in case I ever knock one off again.

Apparantly when I was clearing brush on my property, a branch worked its way up into the valve
linkage area and knocked the spring off

If your tractor is over 3 years old your problem is probably a lost spring. I have them in stock if you need one.

The dealership I purchased my Mahindra from isn't selling them anymore either, but another dealership in the same town now carries Mahindra. I suspect that Mahindra is dropping dealerships that they do not feel are doing a good job marketing and selling their product line.

I would like to make an observation here. The presence of Galen and Wallace on this forum are a real plus for Mahindra, and an even bigger plus for Mahindra owners. I've lost track of the number of possible service calls these guys have saved tractor owners on this forum. Obviously, these are the kinds of dealers we need to see more of out there, from any brand.
