. . . I have a personal pet peeve with many of these no-start threads; the original poster often fails to specify: is the tractor is totally dead?, what does the instrument panel indicate?, does anything else (like flashers) work?, does if it fail to crank or crank slowly?, or does it crank normally but fail to start? From reading posts here, a lot of time would be saved if these basic conditions were addressed up front.
You just made me think about a guy I used to work with. Any time the network printer ran out of paper, ran out of toner, had a paper jam, or whatever, he would come tell me "the printer's broke." To him, it was "broke" regardless of why it wouldn't print. And, for him, the 40th time it did it was the same as the 1st time. He had zero ability to diagnose or resolve the problem himself. I hope he never buys a tractor.
